APS SA Branch Committee

I’m a past general member of the SA Branch Committee of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). I held this position from 2017 to 2021.

I had three main roles within the committee. The first was as a liaison between the APS committee and the Visualising Mental Health Project. The APS committee provided practical, financial and promotional support for the project for which I was very grateful.

My second role was as editor for 7 Days of Psychology. This was an initiative we ran in 2017, 2018 and 2019. During Psychology week, we invited people to subscribe to 7 days of email articles describing the field of psychology. You can access the articles if you care to read them at this link.

My third and day-to-day role was the management of the SA Branch Facebook page which I did in a rather amateurish fashion but still enjoyed it.

The APS is the leading representative organisation for psychologists in Australia. The Branch committee coordinates events, training, communication, professional liaison, networking and member support at the local level (SA) and provides a connecting point for the different APS Colleges and Interest Groups that exist in South Australia.
